Moong Masoor Dal

Moong Masoor Dal Recipe:


1/2 cup yellow moong daal
1/2 cup orange masoor daal
1/2 onion finely chopped
1 tomatoe finely chopped
1/2 clove garlic
1/2 inch fresh ginger
1/2 tsp red chili powder
1/4 tsp cumin seeds
1/4 tsp rai
1/2 tsp turmeric powder
2 tbsp lemon juice
1/2 tsp ghee
2 tsp vegetable oil
2 sprigs coriander leaves
1 tsp heeng
salt to taste.


Boil for 20 minutes daal with turmeric powder and salt.
Meanwhile, place the oil in a pan, add cumin seeds, rai, heeng, red chili powder, onions, tomatoes and saute for 5 minutes.
Add boiled daal to it. Simmer for a few minutes.
Add lemon juice, melted butter and coriander leaves and serve.
