Shahi Paneer

Shahi Paneer Recipe:


200 g - paneer 
1 big - onion
1 tbsp - ginger-garlic-chilli paste
50 g - raisins and cashewnuts 
1/2 tsp - poppy seeds 
1/2 tsp - charmagaz 
2 tbsp - oil
Salt to taste
1/2 tsp - red chilli powder 
1/2 tsp - garam masala
1 tbsp - cream
Coriander for garnishing
1/2 tsp - Kasuri methi
Water - 1/2 cup


Cut the paneer into cubes or make a round shape and deep fry.
Soak poppy seeds and charmagaz, raisins and cashews for 10 minutes.
Now grind the onion, ginger, garlic, pepper, cashew nuts, raisins and soaked poopy seeds and charmagaz mixture to a fine paste.
Heat oil and fry the masala for 10 minutes over medium heat.
Then add chili powder, salt, sugar, kasuri methi, garam masala and mix well.
Now add paneer cubes, water and mix well.
Simmer for 5 to 10 minutes.
Serve after garnishing with cilantro and cream with naan or pulao.
